Joe Swank
Senior Development Manager

He is committed to an inclusive process that creates space and projects that are a reflection of the community and values in which they serve.

He joined Adre to further our mission of sustainable building innovation and to increase representation for historically underrepresented communities in the design and construction industries.

Prior to Adre, he was a Project Architect for Hacker Architects for 8 years where he led the design and construction of several large commercial office buildings.  Joe’s work included market rate commercial projects and buildings for education and non-profit organizations.

The 10 years prior to Hacker Joe delivered sustainable commercial and education projects as a  Project Architect at both ZGF and Bora. He also spent two years coordinating architectural trades as a Project Engineer at Hoffman Construction where he garnered a deep understanding on the entire project delivery from design through project closeout.

In 2016 Joe co-founded Your Street Your Voice, a program where BIPoC and LGBTQ+ centered youth learn about careers in the built environment through a lens of social justice.  He has continued to participate and facilitate a cohort for this program since its inception.

Joe is a registered Architect in the state of Oregon, a LEED accredited professional, and is a Certified Design-Build Professional.
